The different proteins in the SUPERIOR PROTEIN COMPLEX are complementary: derived from different protein sources and manufactured in different ways. The ultra filtrated whey protein concentrate contains lots of essential amino acids and BCAA's and is very easy digestible. The pre-digested hydrolised whey protein contains an equal amount of amino acids, in form of immediately available peptides. The ion-exchanged whey protein isolate, rich in essential amino acids and BCAAs, contains little fat and little lactose.

Whey protein is easily digested and absorbed faster than calcium caseinate. By mixing both substances, protein breakdown starts immediately after ingestion and optimal absorption takes place during a prolonged period. Whey proteins contain: â-lactoglobulin, á-lactalbumin, immunoglobulins, serum albumin and lactoferrin.

Calcium caseinate has a high biological value, is very rich in protein and contains lots of calcium, glutamic acid and glutamine. The amino acid profile of calcium caseinate completes that of the whey protein perfectly. A glutamine rich protein improves muscle repair and recuperation. The digestion of calcium caseinate is a slower process hence the absorption is prolonged to 4 hours after intake.

L-Glutamine is considered conditionally essential. In situations of stress (such as physical stress), our body is unable to make enough of it, and therefore additional (external) sources have to be applied. Glutamine peptides allow for greater absorption compared to standard glutamine.
