The problem is, the sports nutrition industry is virtually unregulated and wrought with companies that prey on young athletes' ignorance and overhype and under-deliver on label claims and effectiveness.
Unfortunately, many athletes don’t realize this until it’s too late and either their health, reputation, career or all three are jeopardized.

In 2003 when I played for the Indianapolis Colts, I became frustrated that the current supplements I was taking were not helping my performance as promised in advertisements, but were actually hindering my performance and even causing injuries on the football field. After my strength coach advised me to stop taking over-marketed supplements that overpromised and under-delivered, I found my mission in life. This is why I started MusclePharm.

As a professional athlete myself, I would let nothing stand in the way of my career, yet I have seen some of my colleagues not be so lucky. For this reason, I have invested millions of dollars and amassed a team of the world’s most respected scientists, physicians, researchers, trainers and athletes to help in my quest to create a superior line of sports nutrition products that are safe, free of banned substances, and are formulated, tested and certified under the most stringent conditions to the highest specifications of any products in the marketplace today. I’m proud to say that at MusclePharm, we don’t just make and sell the products, we live the lifestyle. We use MusclePharm on a daily basis, we train in the state-of-the-art performance facility I built to test and perfect our products in real-world scenarios, and we see the results MusclePharm has had in our own lives as well as in the lives of the professional athletes that use and endorse our products.
